On resumption of play the Royal batted well with their blend of youth and experienced players playing some attacking strokes enabling a declaration of 213 for 5, when tea was then taken. The Fiddlers in reply lost Steve Haynes early on but a second wicket partnership of 156 between Matt Baglow and Simon Jessup brought us right back into the game Matt Baglow's wicket fell with the total on 164 where Matt had contributed a solid 71. Simon Jessup continued his fine stroke play reaching his second consecutive hundred ending on 110 not out but with the conditions and light fading we ended on 198 for 3, match drawn honours even where we retired to our hosts clubhouse for a social evening.

26.06.11 Little Kingshill 2.00pm Little Kingshill 103 all out, in 40 overs. Fiddlers won by 7 wickets in 17 overs. The match was played in the idyllic settings of Little Kingshill and was a 40 over side match for the Horace West Shield which has been competed for by the two clubs since 1974. Unfortunately Mike Salmon lost the toss and Kingshill elected to bat on a hot sunny day, Opening Bowlers Chris Smith and Luke Woodland once settling into a good rhythm kept the early batsman restricted on a slow wicket and their returns of 1 for 19 and 2 for 18 showed how hard it was for Kingshill to score runs freely, Simon Jessup and Mike Salmon continued to restrict any free scoring shots being played and their returns of 3 for 26 and 0 for 6 in their allotted overs kept Kingshill pegged back. Last seasons player of the year Dave Woodworth then entered in to the game taking 4 for 17 in only 4 overs to wrap up the innings with Little Kingshill finishing on 103 all out. After enjoying an excellent tea the Fiddlers opened up with Matt Baglow and Cloudesley Long and when Long was out first ball in the second over (Primary Club Candidate) and Elliott Scott out 3 balls later we were 0 for 2 wickets, then in the third over Matt Baglow was out for 0 we were 6 for 3 game on!! John Hewitt and Chris Smith then came together with John attacking the bowling at every opportunity and Chris Smith working well in partnership these two batsman saw us through to win the match inside 17 overs John was 59 not out and Chris 39 not out, where as usual the Fiddlers retired to the bar to enjoy one of the best summer's evening to date.
03.07.11 Braywood 2.00pm Fiddlers 244 for 9 declared, Braywood 245 for 8. Fiddlers lost by 2 wickets. The game at Braywood was a declaration game of cricket with the Fiddlers winning the toss and electing to bat, the opening pair of Steve Haynes and Andrew Parham dominated the bowlers to put on 134 for our opening wicket, where Steve Haynes was out for a swashbuckling 69, Simon Jessup followed in the same over and with Andrew Parham following for a fine 48 in the very next over the Fiddlers went from 134 for 0 to 139 for 3. John Hewitt 44 and Ricky Monon 22 ensured that the remaining time at the wicket was well used enabling the Fiddlers to declare on 244 for 9. In reply Braywood put on 37 in quick time for their opening wicket , their opener J Wing amassed 75 and their no 3 N Jathavedan 55 put on 106 for their second wicket which left them on 143 for 2 in a fine position to close down our total. However after a good spell of seam bowling from Simon Jessup along with the canny guile of Nigel Haines wickets started to fall with Nigel taking 4 for 65 which left Braywood requiring 4 runs off the final over the match bowled by Nigel, after some quick singles Braywood scampered home with only 2 balls remaining 8 wickets down. As is usual after such a good entertaining game of cricket the Fiddlers retired to the bar to enjoy the company of their hosts Braywood.
